In February 2023, NSS Canada completed a successful implementation of MOSS and Exyn autonomous technologies at Jaguar Mining Inc. in Brazil.
The Miner Operated Survey System (MOSS) is an underground surveying software that supports a wide range of Leica robotic total stations. MOSS integrates mine design specifications and drawings when completing mark-ups, and provides real-time information for miners, engineers, and geologists.
MOSS has been proven to help reduce overbreak by 15-20% by enforcing best practices. Miners are provided ample feedback to help their drilling improve, stay consistent and prevent them from deviating from design.
NSS Canada Global Field Technicians Maxime Graveline and James Willis spent the past 42 days training the Jaguar Mining Inc. teams at Pilar and Turmalina how to use MOSS to streamline their underground operations.
